Financial Planning for The Self-Employed (ABW)
This module aims to help the self-employed person take account of unique challenges to their financial planning and how understanding important principles will enable them to plan better in order to achieve their financial goals. Participants will learn how to measure their financial fitness, set up a robust budget, boost savings to meet their healthcare costs, obtain support from government, take stock of their insurance adequacy and plan for retirement while continuing to deepen their skills.
My Healthcare and Retirement – Essentials for Self-Employed Persons (ABW)
This module aims to encourage self-employed persons to build their savings to ensure that their long-term health care needs are met, to have the right types and amounts of insurance coverage and to motivate them to begin early to plan for retirement by leveraging on their CPF. It will also inform them of government financial support for lower income workers (including platform workers) as well as support for skills upgrading and resource to help those considering potential transition to salaried employment.

This workshop will help participants identify what is their relationship when it comes to money, are they developing positive or at risk of negative habits. With positive habits and money relationships participant will then learn how to set SMART financial goals and set actionable plans – including using tools for budgeting and spending management - to achieve these goals. Participants will also appreciate how compounding works to boost savings and while being alerted to common financial pitfalls like over-reliance on debt and spending schemes like Buy-Now-Pay-Later.
