Money Management for Youths
OBJECTIVE
This workshop will help participants identify their relationship with money and identify negative money habits. With positive habits, participants will then learn about the purpose of having financial goals, how to set SMART goals and have hands-on activity to plan for their own goals – including how the use of our savings and goals savings calculators to enable them to develop simple yet effective actionable plans. Participants will also learn about the simple steps for effective budgeting and spending management. Participants will also appreciate how compounding works to boost savings and be alerted to common financial pitfalls like over-reliance on debt and spending schemes like Buy-Now-Pay-Later. This module also highlights how to spot red flags in investments schemes to avoid scams and high risks associated with unregulated entities or products.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Youths between 16 and mid 20s who are studying, about to enter the workforce or have been working for a few years and want to learn how to better manage their finances and grow their savings to achieve their financial goals.
